صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية، أكدت أنه حتى الآن لا يوجد اتفاق بين أروخو وبرشلونة، لكن هناك تقدم كبير في المفاوضات مما يجعل الإعلان الرسمي يقترب.

برشلونة يثق في أروخو وتحديدًا تشافي هيرنانديز الذي يرى بأن رونالد هو مستقبل البلوجرانا، بالإضافة لزملائه في الفريق أنسو فاتي وبيدري وجافي.

وسيجتمع الطرفان مرة أخرى وستكون أولوية أروخو هي التجديد، حيث أن اللاعب لديه العديد من العروض من أفضل فرق أوروبا، لكنه يرغب في الاستمرار داخل ملعب كامب نو.

وأشارت التقارير إلى أن الآن المفاوضات حول الراتب، وهناك توافق بعض الشيء بين الطرفين، والأقرب سيكون تمديد أروخو للعقد لمدة 4 سنوات أخرى.

Moyes has guided West Ham in the race for a previously unprecedented Champions League qualifying spot, with the Hammers still well in contention for a top four place despite recently losing to rivals Chelsea.

Indeed, the 58-year-old has also had to cope without many first team players recently including the likes of Declan Rice, Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell .

Due to his fine work, the London Football Awards gifted Moyes the manager of the season award with plenty of Irons erupting as this ‘amazing news’ emerges.

Last season, West Ham finished just five points above the drop zone in 16th – and the fact they’re now in contention for Europe just shows the marvellous job he has done at the London Stadium.

Sheffield Wednesday gave their survival hopes an almighty boost on Tuesday night as they defeated Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at Hillsborough Stadium to move to within four points of safety.

In the absence of manager Darren Moore from the dugout, the Owls edged this close affair thanks to a 37th-minute strike from Josh Windass, taking his tally for the season to nine goals.

And whilst he deserves plenty of plaudits – he did receive YorkshireLive’s ‘Man of the Match’ award – there was another name who was potentially Wednesday’s unsung hero on the night.

Joey Pelupessy.

Keeping that clean sheet was just as important as the 27-year-old finding the net and it was the Dutchman’s bustling energy and drive in the heart of midfield that was most notable, and ultimately infectious towards his teammates.

You’re never going to get anything fancy from the Jos Luhukay signing and truth be told, he’s rarely looked fantastic in an Owls shirt but against Rovers, he has to be given more credit.

The 27-year-old beast won 83% of his duels – five of six – to dominate his battles and drive Wednesday forward, often giving the ball to Barry Bannan to provide some sort of creativity.

But it is often that dirty work that goes unnoticed. He also chipped in with four successful tackles, which was the most of any player on the pitch – either home or away – and also managed an Owls-high two interceptions, only further proving his ability to read the game perfectly on Tuesday night.

Furthermore, he was a hard man to shake off. From his 36 touches, he only lost possession three times – by far the lowest of any starter on the pitch. He even made 75% of his long balls, and 88% of his 25 passing attempts, as per SofaScore.

These figures were all better than his averages for the campaign, where he has featured 36 times, too.

The Star summed it up perfecting in their post-game column, describing Pelupessy’s display as “unflashy but assured,” also adding: “Wednesday won the midfield battle and Pelupessy was a part of that.”

Indeed that was certainly the case and as a result, Pelupessy was Moore’s, assistant Jamie Smith’s, and the Owls’ unsung hero from this wonderful victory.

He and the side must now back it up with another win this weekend.

A number of Liverpool fans have been calling for Naby Keita to be sold in the summer transfer window following an update from James Pearce on his future.

Someone who didn’t feature at Anfield was Keita, with James Milner coming on in the second half instead of him, as his frustrating Liverpool career continues. The 26-year-old has made just seven Premier League starts all season, and while that is partly down to injuries, Jurgen Klopp does appear to be losing faith in him now.

Writing for The Athletic, Pearce claimed that Keita wants to stay at the club moving forward, fighting for regular playing time. In three years at Anfield, the £52.75m Guinean has made just 76 appearances in all competitions, scoring only seven goals.

O Nacional (URU) já põe o Palmeiras como o favorito para contratar o lateral-esquerdo Matías Viña. As conversas com o Milan esfriaram às vésperas do fechamento da janela de transferências na Itália, e mesmo com outros times da Europa interessados, é o Verdão quem está mais perto de levar o atleta.

Ao LANCE!, o secretário técnico do Nacional, Jorge Giordano, admitiu que a negociação está avançando e não descarta que seja fechada no fim desta semana. As janelas da Itália, Espanha, Inglaterra, Alemanha e França se encerram na sexta, o que dificulta a ida de Viña para a Europa.

Enquanto europeus, como o Milan, tentaram a contratação por empréstimo com opção de compra, o Palmeiras quer fazer a aquisição definitiva – o valor ainda não foi revelado. O jogador de 22 anos de idade é muito bem avaliado na Academia de Futebol; ele foi eleito o melhor jogador do Campeonato Uruguaio em 2019, e já tem convocações pelo Uruguai.

A lateral esquerda é uma posição que o Verdão busca reforçar no mercado, e entende que o jogador do Nacional é o alvo ideal. Victor Luis tem sido o titular da posição neste início de ano, com Diogo Barbosa e Esteves como opções no grupo. A chegada de Viña não depende necessariamente da saída de algum lateral.

Além dele, o Palmeiras também tenta a contratação de Rony, do Athletico. O negócio não foi fechado, pois há um impasse entre o atacante e o Furacão. O Verdão está disposto a pagar 6 milhões de euros (R$ 27 milhões) ao clube e já se acertou em relação a salários e luvas com o atacante. Mas enquanto o estafe do jogador e a diretoria paranaense não se resolverem, não há como avançar.

Make no mistake about it, Leeds United’s 2-1 triumph against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon was one of their greatest results of the modern era.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been involved in some eye-catching games against the Premier League’s elite this season, including the reverse fixture at Elland Road which ended 1-1.

After initially taking the lead through Stuart Dallas, and then seeing Liam Cooper sent off in controversial fashion, the Whites managed to seal all three points in the dying moments of the game thanks to their Northern Irish ace.

While Dallas will no doubt take the headlines for his match-winning brace, spare a thought for Gjanni Alioski, who put in a superb shift at left-back.

Ahead of the game, there were serious doubts about just how well he would do coming up against Pep Guardiola’s much-vaunted City side, and even here on Football FanCast, there were calls for him to be dropped from the starting line-up.

However, to his immense credit, the £15,000-a-week earning stuck to his task diligently and produced the kind of impressive display which will have sent Bielsa huge message about whether he could still be a decent performer at this level. His contract at Elland Road comes to an end this summer, and reports have even suggested that Turkish giants Galatasaray have him offered him a deal.

Alioski was at his best today, showing some defensive discipline to try and handle City’s outstanding right-flank of Ferran Torres and Joao Cancelo – the latter being one of the top full-backs of this season with two goals and five assists to his name.

Stopping them was no easy task, but Alioski was strong in the tackle and didn’t take too many unnecessary risks with the ball. As per Sofascore, his tally of three tackles were the second-most of any Leeds player on the day, while his five clearances were the highest bar none.

The left-back didn’t shirk any of the 50/50s either, winning nine of his 17 total duels – that figure was the highest of any player on both sides.

Alioski was also crucial in Dallas’ winner of course, providing a superb pass for the 29-year-old to run onto and fire home past Ederson in the City net.

While one game certainly doesn’t make a player, Alioski’s superb performance away at the Premier League’s runaway leaders has surely given Bielsa some food for thought about his future at Elland Road.

Odair terá o desafio de unir a experiência dos medalhões à juventude das apostas do Flu no mercado. O clube trouxe os atacantes Caio Paulista, Felippe Cardoso (ambos com 21 anos) e Fernando Pacheco (20 anos), além de renovar com Evanílson (20 anos). Também chega o volante Yago Felipe (24 anos) e outro prestes a assinar contrato é o centroavante Michel Araujo (23 anos).

Para Nenê, a convivência é benéfica e ajuda a manter o clima descontraído no vestiário. O meia revelou que a fórmula para motivar os companheiros que estão no início de carreira é dar o exemplo dentro de campo e nos treinamentos.

–Às vezes eles são muito folgados, chamam de ‘vovô’ direto. Brincadeira, isso é muito bacana. Moleques que têm a idade do meu filho e muitos são mais novos. Futebol pode proporcionar essas coisas. Algumas vezes eles me procuram, como sou muito brincalhão no dia a dia dou essa liberdade para qualquer coisa que precisarem.Depois dos treinos, nas finalizações, percebo que no começo estou só e depois chegam mais dois, três quatro. Isso é bem bacana. Pensam: “Se ele tem 38 e está treinando aí, porque eu também não posso?” Claro, são jovens, podem melhorar muito ainda. E no que precisarem de mim, estou aí – completou o meia.

A torcida tricolor, no entanto, ainda vai ter que esperar para ver todas as caras novas do time em ação juntas.Egídio, Henrique, Fernando Pacheco, Felippe Cardoso e Yago não foram regularizados a tempo da estreia no Carioca, neste domingo, contra a Cabofriense, em Bacaxá.
