South African allrounder Albie Morkel will be pushing hard to take Chennai Super Kings to victory in the second season of the IPL but he isn’t about to reveal secrets with the World Twenty20 around the corner.Graeme Smith, JP Duminy, AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, Mark Boucher, Herschelle Gibbs, Dale Steyn and Roelof van der Merwe are some of the South Africans who play for other teams in the IPL and Morkel said they had been given instructions not to reveal secrets with the World Twenty20 coming up in June.”We’ve been given specific instructions by our boards not to reveal all our secrets, especially with the World Twenty20 coming up in a couple of months’ time,” Albie told . “It’s not that we don’t talk, but we don’t reveal all our strategies. That is as per instructions from our boards. We cannot show off all our secret weapons and there’s not much we can do about it. It’s true not just for me, but for the others as well.”However, Morkel did not feel that it affected the competitiveness of the game. “Not quite. We try and innovate and find new facets to our game. That only helps us develop as cricketers,” he said. “For me, the last IPL was such a big help in my growth as a cricketer. I learnt a lot about playing in India, which in turn added something more to my game, especially the bowling.”

With Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers side heading into Saturday’s Premier League clash on the back of a number of impressive results, winning three of their last four league fixtures, the 45-year-old manager would have undoubtedly been hoping for yet another promising performance in order to continue Wolves’ climb up the table.

And, despite being 2-0 down against Aston Villa with just ten minutes of the match remaining, three late goals from Romain Saiss, Conor Coady and Ruben Neves saw Wolves complete a famous comeback against their rivals, leaving Villa Park with a 3-2 win, all three points and local bragging rights.

However, despite the impressive result, there were nevertheless a number of Wolves players who turned in below bar performances in the clash, none more so than the hero of the club’s Premier League win against Newcastle United last time out, Hee-Chan Hwang.

Lost 90% duels

After somewhat surprisingly being started in a front two alongside Adama Traore, Hwang failed to have any real impact over his 88 minutes on the pitch against Villa.

Indeed, the 25-year-old managed just one shot at the Aston Villa goal, completed no dribbles and made no key passes, as well as touching the ball a total of 40 times – two times fewer than Jose Sa between the Wolves sticks.

The £9.9m-rated man also won just one of his ten attempted duels – a failure rate of 90% – gave away possession of the ball on 12 separate occasions and conceded three fouls, in addition to being dribbled past twice and making one error which led to a shot – with Tim Spiers’ describing this error as Hwang “carelessly” giving the ball away.

As a result of his returns – or lack thereof – the South Korea international received an extremely disappointing SofaScore match rating of 6.0, the lowest rating given to any Wolves player on the day.

As such, while the winger is clearly a much more talented player than his performance against Villa would suggest, Hwang nevertheless failed Lage in the comeback against Villa.

In 37 matches Chatrapalsinhji scored 1363 runs at 23.10 with a personal best of 98.He was the uncle of former India batsman Ajay Jadeja.Milind Rege, secretary of the Cricket Club of India cricket, told the : “I remember him bringing all the Mumbai cricketers together for a great party at the CCI. I wonder why he did this probably because he had so much respect for all those who played for Mumbai. I have never seen an ever-smiling cricketer like him. Men like ‘Bapu’ don’t come any more.”

واستطرد: “اللاعب الذي لا يريد الزمالك لن يكون له مكانًا معنا، حتى وإن كان لدينا حارس مرمى واحد، سنستمر في كل البطولات بهذ الشكل، ولن نخطو خطوة للوراء، و إذا كان هناك محاولات من أبو جبل نفسه للحديث مع المسؤولين حيث يشعر أنه تعرض لأزمة أو أنه كان مخطئًا”.

واستأنف: “محمد أبو جبل لجأ لمرتضى منصور ورئيس النادي أبلغه بأن هذا الملف مع إدارة الكرة والمدير الفني، كما أن الأزمة مع الحارس ليست شخصية، بدليل إننا سمحنا له بالرحيل، كان يمكن أن نبقيه حتى 30 أغسطس، ولكننا لم نكن نريد أن نضر اللاعب في مستقبله، ولكن اذا لم يوفق مع النصر السعودي فـ الزمالك ليس البديل”.

واختتم: “ما زالنا ننافس على الدوري ولم نستقبل أي شيء رسمي بشأن مباراة السوبر المصري السعودي، وحال فوزنا بالدوري فنحن مرحبين بالمشاركة،  وإذا شاركنا في أي بطولة فمن المؤكد أن فيريرا سيلعب على اللقب”.

Leeds United travel away to The Emirates tonight as they go in search of progress through to the fifth round of the competition.

They face Arsenal after holding Wolves to a 1-1 draw at the weekend in the Premier League, with the Whites sat just above the relegation zone as it stands.

Rodrigo scored a last-minute penalty for Leeds after Hee-Chan Hwang’s opening goal for Wolves and Marcelo Bielsa could make changes to his side to freshen things up for this cup clash.

One player he must ruthlessly axe from the team is left-winger Jack Harrison, as the forward struggled badly at the weekend and is having a difficult season.

Per SofaScore, he lost 100% of his duels against Bruno Lage’s Wolves. He failed in all seven of his individual battles and only completed 67% of his passes, whilst failing to complete either of his two attempted dribbles either.

His statistics over the course of the Premier League campaign do not make for much better reading. The winger is yet to contribute with a goal or assist in eight matches, losing 66% of his duels and giving away possession 15.9 times per match.

This shows that he is currently in poor form and the performance against Wolves was simply the tip of the iceberg, which is why Bielsa must axe him. He should be dropped from the XI for this cup tie with Arsenal to give others a chance to impress.

On the one hand, you can look at it as a ruthless axing from the team in the sense that his performances do not warrant a place in the starting line-up. He has not shown enough consistently this season to prove that he deserves to start and that is one of the reasons why the manager should name him on the substitute’s bench.

On the other hand, it could be a tactic to motivate Harrison to up his game. He may spend his time on the bench wondering what he could do to improve and then put that into place in training in an attempt to impress Bielsa and win his starting berth back for Sunday’s trip to Carrow Road to face 20th-placed Norwich.

Therefore, Bielsa must drop Harrison down to the bench to, firstly, improve the team in the immediate future and, secondly, to motivate him to train harder and get back to his best.

Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie has revealed the latest on Newcastle United’s talks with Eddie Howe to become their new manager.

What’s the story?

Reports in recent days had pointed towards Villareal manager Unai Emery being the man the new owners wanted in place for this weekend’s Premier League game against Brighton, but after that fell through on Wednesday, attentions have quickly towards elsewhere.

Writing on Twitter, Downie said: “Talks are on-going between Newcastle and Eddie Howe over their vacant manager’s position. Howe is under serious consideration following Unai Emery’s rejection yesterday. Understand he also held talks previously with Newcastle pre-takeover.”

Newcastle’s search could finally be over

In what has been a roller-coaster of a couple of days, it appears the Magpies finally look set to end this managerial saga and appoint Howe as the man to permanently replace Steve Bruce in the dugout at St James’ Park.

While missing out on Emery is no doubt a big blow to the new ownership, getting someone in place for the clash against Brighton was absolutely critical.

Though the Premier League campaign may still be in its early days, the Tyneside club’s wretched start has seen them firmly fixed in the bottom three of the table with just four points – they remain six points off safety.

Howe’s appointment would at least give the Newcastle players and the fans as a whole a sense of relief and clarity about things going forward, instead of the state of uncertainty currently clouding the club.

Though Howe may not be everybody’s first-choice, the fact Downie claims that talks are ongoing with the former Bournemouth boss and that he is “under serious consideration” should delight fans who must be getting tired of all this managerial drama already. All they want is a manager, and that dream could finally be realised in the coming days.
