وفي تصريحات للصحفيين صباح اليوم بعد مواجهة برايتون، قال ماوريسيو بوتشيتينو: “كولويل سيواصل معنا، لن ندعه يرحل لأنه سيكون له دور في الموسم المقبل”.

وأضاف مدرب تشيلسي الجديد: “أنا سعيد معه جدًا، قدم أداء جيد معنا، وأفضل مما كنت أتوقعه لأنها كانت مباراة أولى له بعد موسم كامل مع برايتون، لكنه ظهر بمستوى رائع”.

واختتم: “سنواصل العمل سويًا، وسيكون له دور في الفريق الموسم المقبل، أنا سعيد للغاية بأننا نمتلكه، سيكون أحد أعظم المدافعين في إنجلترا مستقبلًأ”.

يستعد منتخب مصر الأول لكرة السلة رجال، للسفر إلى سلوفينيا، من أجل خوض معسكر إعداد، قبل مشاركته في بطولة كأس العالم، التي تقام في الفترة من 25 أغسطس المقبل، وحتى 10 سبتمبر من العام الجاري في الفلبين واليابان وإندونيسيا.

وتغادر بعثة منتخب مصر، القاهرة، في العاشرة صباح غدًا الإثنين، متوجهة إلى مدينة كرانجسكا جورا في سلوفينيا ثم إيطاليا ضمن خطة الاستعداد للمونديال.

The injury, on his right wrist, will require surgery.West Indies’ physiotherapist CJ Clark confirmed that Samuels is returning home. “It will require surgery management and he returns home to seek that surgical opinion and advice from the WICB medical panel, headed by Dr Akshai Mansingh,” Clark said.Coach Ottis Gibson said Samuels absence will be hard to cope with for an already-struggling team. “Marlon’s injury is unfortunate at such a tough time for the team,” Gibson said. “But it gives another player the opportunity to make a name for themselves in this series.”West Indies are already without two of their biggest names, with Chris Gayle’s hamstring and Kieron Pollard’s knee keeping them out of the series.
