ونجح منتخب الطائرة في التأهل لنصف النهائي بعد الفوز على المغرب بنتيجة 3/0 في دور الثمانية، عقب عبور كينيا 3/0 في دور الـ16 مساء الجمعة.

وتأهل المنتخب المصري إلى دور الـ16 بعد احتلاله المركز الثاني في المجموعة الأولى، حيث قد تلقى الهزيمة من نظيره الجزائري بنتيجة 3-0 في الجولة الثانية، بعدما حقق الفوز على منتخب بوروندي بنتيجة 3-0 في الجولة الأولى.

Following their demoralising Test series defeat, West Indies found solace in the format they relish the most by squaring the T20s 1-1 with an all-round performance in Roseau. West Indies were guilty of not putting enough runs on the board on Saturday, but they addressed that issue by posting a competitive 165 in an uninterrupted innings. Their bowlers choked New Zealand, with the spinners and medium-pacers proving difficult to hit. Never at any stage did New Zealand pose a threat and the lack of lasting partnerships led to their downfall.Unlike on Saturday, when West Indies struggled to gain traction either side of a rain interruption, the batsmen found momentum via a solid second-wicket of stand of 66 between Andre Fletcher and Lendl Simmons and in the last five overs, when 56 were scored. Simmons described the pitch as one with tennis-ball bounce, with a few balls stopping on the batsmen, but West Indies saw through an edgy beginning and ensured they kept wickets intact for a late surge.Fletcher was lucky to survive early in his innings when he set off for a single from the non-striker’s end and was sent back by Simmons; Fletcher had given up but the bowler Trent Boult missed the mark. After that, Fletcher charged down the track to the seamers and targeted the straighter boundaries Simmons regularly shuffled across his stumps to target fine leg and third man.Given how the batsmen struggled on Saturday, the pair showed greater intent to get on with it. Narine and Badree applied the stranglehold by not going for more than five an over.New Zealand needed a massive 91 off the last ten but even at that stage, they still had three more Narine overs to contend with. They also had the awkward slower balls from Pollard to negotiate, and with every desperate swing and a miss from the middle and lower order, the asking rate climbed. Sheldon Cottrell, brought in for this game, got the in-form Neesham early to give West Indies the first advantage and there was no looking back.

Aos 40, Patrick aproveitou rebote de um chute de Edenilson e finalizou da entrada da área. A bola desviou em Luan e encobriu Weverton para quebrar o recorde de 1200 minutos sem sofrer gols da dupla de zaga alviverde. O resultado levava a partida para os pênaltis.

Paredão palmeirense
O segundo tempo começou com o Inter em busca de mais um gol. Weverton brilhou com grandes defesas em lances de Nico López e Cuesta, impedido. Mas o Verdão, mais compacto com a entrada de Moisés, conseguiu conter o ímpeto do Colorado. A partida ficou truncada com menos oportunidades para ambos os lados. Aos 37, o árbitro chegou a apontar um pênalti para o Palmeiras, anulado após revisão no vídeo.

VAR em ação
Nos acréscimos, o sentimento de frustração tomou conta do Beira-Rio. Após cobrança de escanteio de D´Alessandro, Cuesta ganhou pelo alto e marcou o que seria o gol da classificação colorada. كشفت تقارير صحفية أن نجم فريق نيوكاسل يونايتد، برونو جيماريش، توصل إلى اتفاق مع إدارة النادي الإنجليزي فيما يتعلق بتجديد عقده.

كان جيماريش قد انضم إلى نيوكاسل في عام 2020، وسرعان ما أصبح عضوًا رئيسيًا مع الفريق.

وجذب صاحب الـ25 عامًا اهتمام كبار أندية أوروبا، وعلى رأسها ليفربول، برشلونة وريال مدريد.

وتقدم ليفربول بعرض قيمته 100 مليون جنيه إسترليني، هذا الصيف، ولكن نيوكاسل رفض التفريط في البرازيلي.

Alex Keath provided the impetus with 44 off 45 balls, but Behardien jarred the chase with two quick lower-middle order wickets to go along with Bancroft’s scalp.Four of South Africa A’s top five walked back into the dressing room for single-figures before Vaugn van Jaarsveld’s 58 off 72 balls led a revival. ونشر العتال بيانًا على صفحته الخاصة بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك”: “قرر هاني العتال نائب رئيس نادي الزمالك السابق والمرشح لنفس المنصب في انتخابات 20 أكتوبر توجيه ميزانية الحملة الانتخابية له في الفترة المقبلة لدعم النادي ماليًا والمساهمة في حل مشاكله المادية”.

وأبلغ العتال إدارة حملته الانتخابية بأن يتم توجيه كافة المصروفات المالية في الفترة المقبلة للعمل على تلبية احتياجات ضرورية للنادي تخص ملفات الأنشطة الرياضية والخدمات الاجتماعية والإصلاحات الإنشائية.

أقيم عصر اليوم الخميس الاجتماع الفني لمباراة بيراميدز والجيش الرواندي بأحد فنادق التجمع الخامس، في إطار لقاءات بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

ويحل الجيش الرواندي ضيفًا على بيراميدز في السادسة من مساء غد الجمعة على استاد الدفاع الجوي في إياب دور الـ32 من دوري أبطال إفريقيا، بعدما انتهت مباراة الذهاب في كيجالي بالتعادل السلبي.

وتم خلال هذا الاجتماع الاتفاق على تفاصيل المباراة، حيث يرتدي بيراميدز زيه التقليدي الأزرق في الأبيض، ويرتدي حارس المرمى اللون الأخضر الكامل.

The BCCI is set to form a five-member committee, headed by Karnataka State Cricket Association secretary Brijesh Patel, to oversee the cricket affairs of disputed associations, including Lalit Modi’s Rajasthan Cricket Association.Patel, who has also played international cricket for India, is a key south zone ally of the current BCCI administration. The committee will include Baroda Cricket Association president Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, RCA member and a prince of the Udaipur royal family Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and cricket consultant Amrit Mathur. BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel, joint-secretary Anurag Thakur and treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry will be a part of the committee as ex-officio members.The committee has been briefed about overseeing cricket operations in states or associations where there are disputes, like Bihar and Rajasthan. “As had been decided earlier, even though the associations have been involved in various disputes, we don’t want the cricket and the future of cricketers to suffer in these regions,” Sanjay Patel said. “As a result, the interim BCCI president [Shivlal Yadav] appointed the committee recently and we hope to provide the best of facilities to cricket and cricketers [in disputed regions].”Though the committee members were recently informed of their inclusion and some of them met with the Rajasthan government’s sports ministry officials on Monday, the committee’s formation will be ratified only during the BCCI working committee meeting, expected to be held in Goa next week.It is understood the most immediate priority of the committee would be to pick teams for various age-groups, put together various selection committees, hold selection trials, appoint match officials and support staff, and ensure the basic minimum infrastructure required to hold matches and tournaments is in place. With the domestic season starting in October, the committee needs to ensure things are put in place at least a month ahead of the schedule. The committee is likely to meet next week to finalise a schedule and set deadlines to meet the targets.It is also understood that the formation of the ad-hoc committee will be opposed by the RCA and at least one of the three factions of the Bihar bodies. This could lead to yet another legal tangle between the BCCI and member associations.”RCA does not recognise (the committee) nor the state act allows,” Modi said. “Nor the BCCI constitution provides for it.”RCA vice-president Mehmood Abdi has indicated that the state association may take legal recourse, including criminal prosecution under the Rajasthan Sports Act, to contest the formation of the committee.The RCA had been suspended in May immediately after Modi, the former IPL chairman who was expelled from the BCCI last year, was announced as its elected president. Despite being banned by the BCCI, Modi was allowed to contest the election on the grounds that the RCA, despite being a BCCI affiliate, is governed by the Rajasthan Sports Act. This led to the BCCI suspending the member body.Bihar’s tale is very different. Besides the Bihar Cricket Association, which is a BCCI associate member, two other registered associations have staked a claim to run cricket in the state. One of them, the Cricket Association of Bihar has spearheaded a legal battle against the BCCI and its sidelined president N Srinivasan ever since the IPL corruption scandal broke in 2013. As a result, even though Jharkhand, a state carved out of Bihar by the Indian government, enjoys full member status, Bihar is deprived of a Ranji Trophy team and all the privileges of a full member. It is also alleged that players from Bihar, who fall into Jharkhand jurisdictions according to BCCI regulations, are ignored by the Jharkhand associations.Similarly, players in the Uttarakhand region suffer since there is a lot of ambiguity over whether they should be considered for selection in Uttar Pradesh or Himachal Pradesh. Ever since the state was created in 2000, three bodies have vied for its cricket administration rights – one supported by the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association, one supported by a prominent politician who is involved in the BCCI, while the other is a local outfit.
